Over two decades after the great trade, Peter Berg of ESPN Films presents Kings Ransom that dissects the trade and shows you footage of the trade that you probably never seen before including the day of the trade, his wedding day, and a candid conversation with Berg about what could have been if he remained an Oiler. The clip below is a 5 minute excerpt from the 1 hour documentary that was on ESPN and TSN.

The World Ball Hockey Championships are in the Czech Republic this year and thanks to live streaming videos, we have the opportunity to watch local stars from Metro Vancouver and across Canada suit up for Team India for this years international championships.

The Championships will take place from June 13 – 20, 2009 with video highlights from the following games available through the World Championship and CBHA website’s:

Sunday June 14 – INDIA vs SLOVAKIA

Monday June 15 – INDIA vs CZECH REPUBLIC

Tuesday June 16 – INDIA vs SWISS

Please note that all Men’s QF, SF & Final games will be live streamed on the web.
Women’s Bronze & Gold Medal games will be shown as well as Closing Ceremonies.

The Province newspaper in Vancouver is running an article to help lure Mats Sundin to Vancouver. One notable entry was from Aman Brah which states:

Aman Brah of Keller Willams Results Realty is putting up a pretty nice package: He’ll help Mats find a place to live in Vancouver and donate his commission to the charity of Sundin’s choice.

If that’s not generous enough, he’s also offering free meals at Nando’s Coquitlam for as long as he’s a Canuck — and forever if he brings the Cup to town.

I’ve been working on putting together a hockey pool for the playoffs that is based on picking the right teams and in the correct number of games. The only difficult part was rearranging the teams in the second round based on their seed in the conference. Take a look at the official kulvir.com hockey pool

Update: I will be resetting the pool entries once the overall standings are complete for the 2006/2007 NHL Regular Season.

Could this be the Canucks new uniform for next season?

A lot of Canuck blogs out there have this image on their websites. I wonder if its someone’s concept or whether the Canuck front office is actually working on this.

Update: Dave Nonis has announced that they are sticking with the “constipated whale” for next season. Sounds like a chance to sell extra jerseys and then switch to these ones.
